After many years of suffering with unusually painful menstrual cramps, stomach aches and bowel problems that became worse at the time of her period, my 27-year-old daughter, Jennifer, finally ended up with a diagnosis of endometriosis. This was only after ending up in the hospital emergency room with excruciating pain and undergoing surgery for a bowel obstruction caused by the endometrial tissue that had caused the blockage. 

Even after finally having the diagnosis and following up with her ob/gyn, she was told that she had a mild case and simply prescribed birth control pills. The pain and discomfort continued to the point of debilitation at times.

We decided it was time to find a specialist. It was not until we came to Dr. Seckin that she was properly treated and cared for. He listened to her story, understood her pain, and suspected that it was more than a mild case. After performing a seven-hour laparoscopy, he told us that she would feel better than ever. Thanks to Dr. Seckin her overall health has improved and she is experiencing a remarkably improved quality of life.

As a postscript I would like to add that after receiving the diagnosis, we were told that any good ob/gyn could treat endometriosis and that we did not need a specialist. Had we listened to that advice, Jennifer would have continued to suffer needlessly.  There is no doubt in my mind that a specialist like Dr. Seckin is the answer to the treatment of endometriosis.
