Greetings and Salutations.
My name is S. I am a 31-year-old RN working for 5 years at one of New York’s most prestigious hospitals, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia Division. For the last 15 years, I have experienced the most common symptoms of endometriosis, such as dysmenorrhea, gastrointestinal symptoms during menstruation along with pain on my left side during exercise. After 6 years of complaints, my primary gynecologist performed an exploratory laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis. I was told I had no endometriosis, however, after the surgery, my pain persisted. Three years later, in 2006, I started to have a different type of pain altogether. When giving myself clitoral masturbation, I would have 5-10 seconds of orgasmic pleasure, followed by excruciating pain on my life side that would last from seconds to minutes to sometimes hours. I was embarrassed to tell my physician my problem, as most believe that endometriosis causes pain with coitus, penetration only. I never once had pain during intercourse. I had my second exploratory lap for this reason It did not solve my problem and I was told by my physician that I had no endometriosis.
I stopped being shy over the next few months and went to see other physicians in the New York area, chiefs of gynecology at prestigious hospitals. One physician told me he had never heard of this problem in his 40 years of practice and suggested I take a prescription anti-inflammatory drug 30 minutes to one hour prior to clitoral masturbation. I would have tried anything at that point. Needless to say, this method did not work. The other, told me it was a neurological problem, or maybe even psychosomatic! I decided in 2007 I would never masturbate again. For the next several years I was abstinent from clitoral masturbation. In 2010, I decided it was time to be more aggressive. Having read articles and listened to testimonials and success stories from previous patients, I decided to present my problem to Dr. Seckin. Dr. Seckin was intrigued by my situation and offered his assistance. After all testing was complete and physical examinations done, Dr. Seckin scheduled and performed an intricate surgical procedure on Dec 3, 2010. Be January 3rd, I had reluctantly decided to attempt orgasm, and for the first time in years, I was able to experience pleasure without pain. I am so thankful for having trusted in Dr. Seckin. He is the best in his field and I will continue to tell others to trust in him, and tell him your every symptom, for he can work miracles.
