Patient Days and the Endometriosis Symposium 2022
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month and the Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) has organized a series of events including patient days and a medical conference that aim to bring all stakeholders together to discuss new developments in endometriosis care.
Here, There, and Everywhere
The theme of this year’s conference is, “Here, there, and everywhere”. This signifies the ubiquitous nature of endometriosis and the universal need to equip patients and their families with information to fight the disease.
With the COVID-19 pandemic still not fully resolved, the EndoFound Conference will be virtual this year. In an effort to make these webinars more accessible, the Seckin Endometriosis Center is proud to present lectures on three separate Sundays in March.
The event aims to provide a stage for patients to share their stories, network with fellow endometriosis warriors, and inspire others in the process.
Patient Days 2022: Agenda
Each weekend, patients, partners and friends are invited to discuss several pertinent topics related to endometriosis.
- Sunday, March 6, 2022 (10am-1pm EST) Fertility & Endometriosis
- Sunday, March 13, 2022 (10am-1pm EST) Peritoneal Endometriosis & Pain
- Sunday, March 20, 2022 (10 am-1 pm EST) Deeper Debilitating Disease & Its Definitive Treatment
13th Endometriosis Medical Symposium
On March 27th (9 AM to 3 PM EST), EndoFound is also organizing the 13th Endometriosis Medical Symposium drawing in experts from around the world to talk about endometriosis beyond the pelvic region. The theme of this year’s medical symposium is “Pelvic & Beyond, Including Thoracic”.
Endometriosis can occur in sites away from the pelvic cavity including the diaphragm and thorax. In fact, thoracic endometriosis is now the next frontier in our understanding of the disease.
Chairing this year’s medical symposium are:
- Harry Reich Award 2022 Honoree: Mario Malzoni, MD
- Honorary Chairs: Victor Gomel, MD, Harry Reich, MD
- Scientific Director: Dr. Dan Martin
- Program Director: Tamer Seckin, MD
Register now for the patient days
Registration for the Patient Days 2022 and the 13th Endometriosis Medical Symposium is now open. You can register for both the Patient Days and the Medical Symposium.
Registration is free but we do suggest a $25 donation during registration. These proceeds are used to directly help our endometriosis initiatives. You will also have the option to receive periodic newsletters and announcements to stay updated on all things pertaining to endometriosis.
A user-friendly conference platform
We know that virtual meetings cannot fully substitute for in-person conferences, especially in regards to networking. However, EndoFound’s new conference portal aims to make the experience as memorable and convenient as possible.
Soon after registration, you will be provided with login credentials to access the Event Lobby. You will be required to enter your name and can upload a photo.
The EndoFound conference portal is designed to be user-friendly with a simple left navigation pane. You can access various programs during the conference and look up schedules in your time zone. The new conference portal even allows for video coffee breaks around a digital table with fellow endometriosis patients to share stories and life lessons.
Spread the word!
Feel free to share this information with your friends and colleagues and encourage them to take part in what is easily the most comprehensive virtual gathering on endometriosis anywhere.
