Dr. Seckin and his team have changed my life

Dr. Seckin and his team have changed my life. I have multiple medical conditions including rare disorders superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMA Syndrome) and median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS). Despite seeing the best Gastroenterologists in the state and the country no one was able to help me with my symptoms. I have tried countless medications and treatments with no success. Most other doctors had given up on me. I was told everything from “You’re just too complex” to “There’s nothing wrong with you.” I even had multiple OBGYNs say that they strongly believed I did NOT have endometriosis despite later developing an endometrioma on my ovary. I consulted with another gynecological surgeon who was recommended by my insurance company specifically for excision surgery. He told me that the disease was likely in its early stages and not extensive or advanced. He also said that my digestive symptoms were unrelated to the endometriosis.

At my appointment with Dr. Seckin, he said that endometriosis can cause gastrointestinal symptoms. He explained how the disease can affect the body beyond cramps and heavy periods. Daily nausea and bloating that plagued me could very well be symptoms of endometriosis. Constipation and diarrhea were likely related as well. After my surgery with Dr. Seckin and his team, I feel so much better. My deep aching pelvic pain is completely gone. My nausea and bloating are virtually nonexistent. My other conditions are more controlled and easier to manage.

I’m starting to get a little of my life back and I am eternally grateful. Dr. Seckin and his team are not only knowledgeable about endometriosis but they are validating and compassionate with their patients. Every endo warrior deserves doctors like Dr. Seckin and his team. Walking into their office was the best decision I could have made.
